My kids (5 yrs. - girl and 8 yrs. - boy) love these tools, and I like how they are contained in one box that my kids know holds their kitchen tools. We keep it right under the counter where the kids have traditionally pulled up the stool to help me cook, and we use it frequently. (They recently helped me make my birthday cake.) The tools are quality items, and most of them are fitted for little hands. My only comment would be that there are 1 or 2 items that aren't different from anything I would pick up separately at the store myself.

I purchaced this kit for my 6 year old who is a wannabe chef. She LOVES it so much that every time I ask her to help me cook she goes to the pantry and grabs her Paula Deen set to find the right tools that she needs. She is learning about measurement and how to use each tool properly and it's great that they are all perfectly sized for kids. The box that they come in is also very handy for organization. I would highly recommmend this set for any kids who have an interest in cooking!

I bought this for my 5 year old grand daughter this Christmas along with Paula Deen's cookbook for kids. It turned out to be a very good gift to give. She has cooked with me and her mother several times. Unlike other toys that lose their appeal, she puts this in a special place in the kitchen and has made several things with her new baking kit. These tools have the quality of very good adult sized tools, but are sized for smaller hands.
