Functional as well as beautiful, the 13 pieces in this cookware set will bring joy to any serious cook. The set includes a 1-quart covered saucepan, a 1-1/2-quart covered saucepan, a 2-quart covered saucepan, and a big, 8-quart covered stockpot (6-1/2 inches high, 9-3/4 inches in diameter). Also included are 8-inch and 10-inch nonstick skillets. (The stockpot lid fits the larger skillet.) Finally, there are three mixing bowls--1-quart, 2-quart, and 3-quart--with snap-on plastic lids.

Except for the plastic lids, all pieces are made of heavy 18/10 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish. The saucepans and stockpot have aluminum cores in their bases to spread heat quickly and evenly. The cores are completely clad in stainless steel for corrosion resistance and easy cleanup. Thick rolled rims add durability and make it possible to pour without dripping. Because the handles are safe to 350 degrees F (they stay cool on the stovetop), the pans, pot, and skillets can be used in the oven. The entire set comes with a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

"Not the same size as original & skillets are aluminum" 2010-03-05
By R. Chang
I just bought this set and I also have a Farberware set from 20 years ago.

Comparing the two sets, the new pans are actually heavier weight than the old ones. The construction seem to be similar quality. To the guy who complained about the cheap plastic handles: the old ones have them too. The Farberware Millenium series had stainless steel handles.

Complaints:

- The sizes of the pots are not the same. I am keeping the old set, but the lids are not interchangeable!!! (On the plus side, the new 8qt stockpot nests nicely in the old one and saves some cabinet space.)

- The skillets are ALUMINUM --- not a shred of stainless steel on them !!! No where in the description does it say that the skillets are aluminum. The amazon review says "all pieces are made of heavy 18/10 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish." This is not true. If you look at the page for the skillet separately Farberware 10" Open Deep Skillet, it says the skillets are aluminum. But nothing in the description of the set says this. (Nothing on the box says that either.) This is false advertizing!!!

 "Great Set of Cookware" 2010-02-15
By William J. Minogue (Los Angeles)
I just recently purchased the 13 piece cookware set Stainless from Amazon and we are pleased as could be. The pots and skillets cook thoroughly and are or a high quality. The only complaint we have is the handles are not as fancy, aesthetically pleasing, or sturdy as my girlfriend likes. The handles are functional but a basic plain plastic black. But this is a minor complaint compared to the ability of these new pots and skillets to fix our meals. I also love the 3 Stainless steel containers that come with the set. They fit into each other and come with lids for easy storage. Be careful of the pot sizes, they are on the small side. Good Shopping.

"Very respectable but a cadillac set" 2009-04-17
By A. Walter (kalamazoo,mi)
Look, I bought this in Jul/07 for about seventyish and I have absolutely no regrets about this purchase. True, it's not gonna stand up to Analon, Caphalon pro and the like. But for sub $100 you can't go wrong if you take care of it. Analon is prettier and more durable - the handles on this leave a little to be desired compared with my caphalon pro pans. OVerall very satisfied, good bang for the buck.

 "It won't last" 2009-01-16
By Alex R (MA)
The nonstick will not last more than a year under heavy use. The other pots are ok as long as you don't mind scrubing after using them.
