"These took some warming up to" 2010-02-16
By Ian Stewart (Honolulu, HI)
I bought these bowls because I needed a new water dish for my dogs and these were all the store had. I gave up the mid size one to the dogs to replace the stainless bowl that got old and ugly. The other two I used occasionally when my stainless bowl was dirty, but more and more I found stuff I liked about them. The rubber on the bottom is a great feature when mixing things, and the pour spout has been very handy. I wash them almost exclusively in the dishwasher, and they are still like new 6 months later. The plastic is thin, but it hasn't caused an issue even when full. If anything it makes them lightweight. They are also non stick, which is the main reason I don't use stainless bowls anymore. These are a breeze to clean, just rinse and put in the dishwasher. Highly recommended.

"Not what I would expect from KitchenAid!" 2010-01-30

Bowls are okay but pretty flimsy, they are alot beter in the picture. I would never buy again!

 "Somewhat disappointing..." 2010-01-19
By Rita E. Gould (Secane, PA)
I bought these bowls as a gift for my husband. I liked the color (his favorite), and I thought the pour lip on the bowl was a great feature. Unfortunately, the smallest bowl broke the second time my husband used it, merely because he dropped it (roughly 3 feet from the ground). I really don't think a mixing bowl should break so easily. I also noted that using a hand mixer nicked the surface of a different bowl. These bowls do well with gently use (so long as you don't drop them), but it limits their utility. Unsurprisingly, we are replacing them.

 "Durability at its worst" 2009-12-16
By Charles W. Miller
I have owned these bowls for a little less than a year as of this time. I normally never write reviews but the lack ofdurability these bowls show is worth the review. All 3 have giant cracks in the bottom, leaking liquids all over my counters. I have no idea what created the cracks, as it wasn't something I noticed until I had liquid leaking everywhere. These have always been hand washed and have gone through less than normal wear and tear (as I own a ton of kitchen equipment.) Kitchenaid is usually a trustworthy company, but whoever they subcontracted these bowls out to really dropped the ball. I'm sure you could pick up something cheaper and more durable at a big box store that will last years. Don't waste your time.

 "Buy something else" 2009-12-16
By dcon7776 (gaithersburg, md)
The bottom of these bowls have anti-slip material that works really well on granite countertop. However, these bowls are made up of CHEAP quality plastic that is easily scratched and not heat resistant.
