The encapsulated aluminum-disk base is separating from my café' collection 1 qt.sauce pan. It was not high heat that caused it, just poor workmanship. Only a 1/4" spot weld holds the heating base to the bottom of the stainless steel pot. Bad design and this results in one heck of a hot spot, as seen by spot discoloration of the stainless steel pan........ I am a fire fighter and have seen my share of house fire resulting from aluminum pots and pans on the stove, so I stay away from aluminum cookware, The aluminum can, and has melted at stove top temperatures. The encapsulation helps but all the rest of my cookware is copper bottom. Made in China 032008.

While cooking a large pot of spaghetti sauce on the stove top, the lid shattered and glass went everywhere. Not too long after that, the strainer lid also broke. The pots are good, but I would not recommend them because I don't like cooking without the lids.

Has anyone seen the prices for an All Clad set? Or Calphalon? This cookware is better quality, has better features, cooks food better and is less expensive. Its a no brainer!! I love the way it looks too. I've been thrilled with my Wolfgang Puck cookware since day 1 and won't even try any other brand any more. Why bother? This set has everything you need to create simple meals as well as a holiday feast. I highly recommend that you stop wasting your money on other cookware and get the best.

MY dad sent me the Wolfgang Puck 20 PCS Cookware set and I love it. It has everything I needed and I ended up replacing all my old pieces with the complete set. The tools are awesome! What I love most is the the way the pans cook and clean up. The quality is the same as what they use in Wolfgang's restaurants. Included in the set are also many storage pieces so not only can I cook in the pans on the stove I can also bake in them and serve the food in them. The little bowls with storage lid are great for my spices. What is amazing is how fast the pans heat up and stay hot and cook so evenly but what is cool is how the handles never heat up. when I asked my Dad how much it was I could not believe it, I guessed it was over $500 and he told me the $199 price and shipping arrangements it is a great value. Mr Puck you did an outstanding JOB here Thank You!

I have tried many different cookware sets over my cooking days and the Wolfgang Puck is the best I have ever used, the pots are so big and easy to clean and the food taste great. I also use all of the tools included in the set which are very heavy and clan up very easily. One of my favorite are the glass lids it makes it so easy to watch the food cook. The Chefs Pot that is included is the most useable pieces I have cooked in and then I saw in Wolfgang's web site how to use it as a serving item so now I serve my wine bottles in it as a cooler. The recipe book that comes with the set is also very helpful. I would suggest for everyone to try this set it is a great value and the fact that it is stainless steel means it will last forever. Great Item I love It!
