 "These pans are great!" 2010-07-12
By Bayou Belle (Slidell, LA, US)
I have used my ScanPans for years with no problems. Just bought a set for our vacation house. Food doesn't stick to the pots and a beautiful fond develops in the saute pans. I recommend these highly.

"Decent pans, lifetime warranty needs serious work" 2009-12-17
By pearsolm (Denver, Co.)
I bought these pans after doing some research and made my decision based on the lifetime warranty. They are great pans, work well and we enjoy the quality. However, if you are chosing these pans based on the lifetime warranty, I would think twice. It sounds like a great deal, however, the whole process of getting the pans replaced is a bit of an ordeal. I have had ours for about 5 years and needed to have 3 of the 6 replaced. You first have to call the company, then wait for a slip to send with the pans back to the factory to come in the mail. You pay the shipping which is quite pricey to send them back to the factory(I spent $26 to ship them back)and then you have to wait 6 to 8 weeks for replacements. I don't have that many pots and pans in my set that I can be without them for that long. So, if you want a good pan, these are great, but don't make your decision based on the warranty as there are better warranties out there (Calphalon).

 "BIGGEST RIP-OFF IN COOKWARE" 2009-12-07
By Reloving shopping (Garden Grove, Ca)
Based on my experience after after six months of use, ScanPan is probably the biggest rip-off in cookware there is. Yes, I was thrilled about the performance the first two months, which fulfilled the claims made by the manufacturer. However, I started to notice the pots' "nonstick" properties became useless after cooking in liquid, such as boiling pasta or soups, and was a huge struggle to make macaroni and cheese in. The food would NOT stop sticking! The only somewhat useful pieces were the frying pans, which retained the nonstick properties (because of cooking in oil?) Also, all the pans and pots took too long to heat up compared to other pots and pans. I had to start buying stainless steel pot to boil my eggs in and will eventually have to replace all my pots.

For about $500 per set, I expected these to perform much better. Pots not being able to last after five times cooking in liquid is just too big of a flaw. I seriously got burned!

 "Good for Awhile" 2009-12-01
By Roy Pedersen
We were excited about this set, but after a year, every piece but the pans started to bubble, and there was black stuff in our food as the bubbles popped. Next, the material in the pans wore off, exposing the metal beneath. The smaller pots not only bubbled, but at the usual "waterline" for the soups and sauces, the material simply flaked off. How much of this material have we consumed? I cannot recommend Scanpan. Even if you strictly adhere to each and every caution, the non-stick material eventually deteriorates.

"Scanpan Classic 11 piece set" 2009-06-26
By Sya Ceshee (Potomac, MD, USA)
One of the pans in the set was slighly scratched in two spots, but usable. It was definitely not a shipping damage, it was well packed. It looked like a scratch from a tool in 2 places right across from one another. I tried to return the item, but Amazon wanted me to return the whole set. There was no way I could have packed up an 11 piece set back in the box the way it was initially packed professionally. Instead, they gave me 20% back on the purchase price, which made me sort of happy, but not so my wife.Scanpan Classic Ceramic Titanium 11-Piece Chef's Cookware Set
