I got this for my mom because she said that she wanted a dutch oven. Of course the possibilities are endless when it comes to dutch ovens; there's several to choose from here on Amazon. However I was looking for something basic; something that wouldn't cost a lot of money. This dutch oven from Ballarini seemed like the perfect choice. I like it because it is manufactured in Italy and comes with a nice warranty. It seems sturdy and the lid fits nicely keeping steam and moisture in while cooking. I think I made a good choice in buying this. Mom is happy with it!
