I got these to use for French onion soup. They blend with my lighter green stoneware, and work well for small servings. I used for soup and put under the broiler at low temp--very nice. Glad I got them and plan to use for pretty pudding dishes. P.S. My onion soup from the Food Network was wonderful -- it wasn't Paula's recipe.

We found a recipe for frozen chocolate souffles that required 8 6 ounce Ramekins, so we bought two sets. We love the idea of making dessert once and serving it repeatedly to ourselves, or having a dessert in the freezer for unexpected guests. These ramekins are great. They are very attractive, and more importantly go from the freezer to a 365 degree oven (Mfg. says 350 but we have pushed it to 365 as the recipe says 375!) with no worries. Pretty and functional -- what more could one ask? PS For the Frozen Chocolate Souffle recipe you might want to check out "Fine Cooking" Issue 102.
