EXTREMELY POOR WARRANTY AND SERVICE. POT HAS SURFACE FINISH DEFECTS. Five years ago I purchased a Berndes SignoCast Pot for making Chili, and Spaghetti - within a year it started having circle wear in the finish.**** I don't make alot of those dishes, and don't ever cook under high heat. November 2009 I called up the new distributors of Berndes here in the US, they said return the pot( my cost for shipping) and they would look at it. I reviewed the online photos of what they cover...there was my pot...the circles of finish gone. IT TOOK THEM TWO MONTHS to get back to me. I had to follow up, they did not contact me. February 2010....They did not think the pot was covered, so no warranty. But...it I wanted to pay $20.00 they would return the defective pot to me. -- CONCLUSION: Look at another pot, the quality is not what it used to be. Run from these pots if you cook acidic/ tomato foods & sauces. ---Elisa / Pine Valley, CA

My second set (1st one lost in a move). DuPont Autograph 2 non-stick inside and out, heavy cast aluminum with machined flat bottoms, no rivit heads on the inside of the pans, lids that fit. There is nothing not to like about this cookware. Note this set comes with the new shiny stamped stainless steel lid handles, not the older black phenolic ones shown in photo. Pot & pan handles are phenolic.

I bought a set of this cookware for myself last year. I have been so impressed with it that I bought sets for my daugher and son for Christmas. They have held up great and nothing sticks. My set is about a year old and still looks and cooks like new. This was also a great price and included some nice accessory pieces.

I received a Berndes stockpot for my wedding six years ago. It is my favorite pot I own. It cooks evenly, is easy to clean, has not warped or scratched, and is sturdy. So, when searching for a product to replace the pots and pans I used in college I wanted to get more Berndes. I received the Berndes SignoCast 16 Piece Cookware Set about a month ago. The product arrived quickly. I cannot say enough about this product so I will keep it simple. The pots and pans are everything I expected: sturdy, even cooking, easy to clean, and backed by a good warranty. I also like the utensils that came with the set. Like the pots and pans they are easy to clean, sturdy, and worth the money. If you want something that cooks well, is easy to clean, and will last a long time, this may be for you.
