This my second microwave rice cooker. They are very quick and easy to use. I never cook rice in any other way now. I had my old one for over 10 years. This Progressive model is smaller and has one less lid component then my old one. The second time I used this new one I tried 2 cups of dried rice. I microwaved it for 22 minutes. The rice was still cooked just fine. Some of it boiled over, causing a bit of a clean up. Maybe I will try 20 minutes next time. Cooking 1 cup is no problem. I think 2 cups is the max on this model. I will continue to use it. My star rating is a 3, which means good, with 4 being very good and 5 being excellent. Lost points for size and skimping on the lid setup.

This is everything the description said. I love having perfect rice every time. It's also nice not turning on the stove in the heat of the summer just to make rice. I also love being able to put this in the dishwasher.

I love rice! I hate cooking it though - too little room for a rice cooker, pans with crusted rice take too long to clean, and instant rice is, let's face it, sub par at best.
The good:
*super easy clean up, no joke. I don't know how well it weathers a dishwasher, as i do not own one, but it is a breeze to clean by hand. It is non-stick, even when you make sticky rice
* no burned on, crusted on, wasted rice
* convenient, you can mix the rice and water, then pop the whole contraption into the microwave and move on with little worries and make the rest of your meal
* easy to store, non intrusive, no cords, and doesn't get too too hot
* can make up to 6 cups of rice and still make an individual portion! yay!
The bad:
* you need to play with it at first. the water vs rice measurements don't seem to work out exactly right (but the results are still edible, so it's really personal preference here)
* making rice is so easy and hassle free you may have to buy more rice more often ;)
In short, only avoid this product if you have a) no interest in rice; or b) no microwave

Love it, love it, love it.
I had this rice cooker for years (all white), and absolutely loved it. It was "accidentally" sold at a moving sale, so I went online to replace it when I settled into my new place. From the picture I wasn't sure if it was the same thing (different color), but thankfully it is! I love the convenience and the rice always comes out perfect. I also cook my quinoa in it and it comes out great.
