I bought this for my husband after buying various egg poaching pans. The eggs would always stick and even with telfon coating on, you had to let it soak/sit for hours and then still scrub! And a microwave one we bought didnt work well either, eggs were either over-cooked or under-cooked. But this pan is sturdy and fanastic and makes literally perfect poached eggs! One down side though was the bottom of the pan after the first use and since shows water boiling marks on it which dont seem to be removable. No marks on the sides or elsewhere, just the bottom of the pan. (if anyone knows how to get rid of the marks, I'd be grateful to hear!)

I have tried the microwave egg poachers, but the eggs taste gross after being cooked in the microwave and are not always cooked all the way through. I then purchased an egg poacher pan at a local big box store. The eggs were much better, but the supposed non-stick surface was anything but non-stick. After scrubbing stuck eggs out of the pan, and trying different techniques to make the cups non-stick before cooking, I decided there had to be a better pan. This is it! Out of fear that I would be scrubbing eggs out of the pan I did use non-stick spray the first time I used the pan. The second time I used the pan, I decided the skip the oil. The eggs were still very easy to get out of the pan. I would recommend this pan to anyone who wants to make their own poached egg sandwiches at home.

I really enjoy this egg poacher. I agree with the other reviews, though, regarding the sticking. I spray the bowls with Pam and have no problem, but the one time I forgot, the eggs stuck and were a mess to try to get out. Other than that, I think this is a really good egg poacher. I like the fact that it is dishwasher safe and the handles make it easy to lift out of the tray. They are hot, though, so I have to use a towel or oven mitt, but they cool quickly. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

The egg poacher works as advertised. It makes perfect poached eggs without sticking when you butter the cups. I like that the cups are metal rather than plastic which does not conduct heat as well. The eggs seem to poach faster than my previous egg poacher. I am very happy with the product.
